Job Description

Fab Sort Manufacturing (FSM) is responsible for the production of all internal Intel silicon using some of the world's most advanced manufacturing processes. With fabs (short for fabrication facilities) in Israel, New Mexico, Ireland, Arizona and Oregon, FSM operates as a highly coordinated virtual factory network, supporting multiple technology nodes for all Intel products.
EPCOT department manager owns cross organization EPCOT related projects. Owns tool install strategy and planning, and ensuring smooth tool install coordination activities to meet project timelines thus contributes to Intel's revenue. Coordination of multi-disciplinary stake holders across the organization. Ensuring smooth install, quall project management to meet OTF committed milestones.

This position reports to the Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Factory Manager. This role owns executing tactical and strategic installation and qualification of new capacity to achieve factory ramps.

The EPCOT Department Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Strategically, the successful candidate will be responsible for mapping and implementing continuous improvements for the overall OTF site EPCOT capability, ensuring the tactical and strategic site installation and qualification processes and reporting systems meet the capacity ramp needs of the site.
  • Tactically, this role requires integrating the capabilities of the site construction, installation, and qualification to deliver new capacity equipment systems in a high quality and safe manner and on time for the successful capacity ramp of the factory.
  • This role requires a highly integrated knowledge of fab operations, engineering, capacity assessment, corporate services, construction and tool install integration to make tactical and strategic decisions for the factory as a whole.
  • To maintain a high degree of alignment on these decisions, this role will need to develop a high level of influence and leadership with his/her Department Manager peers, factory and support organizations (FCE, CS, GSC, and TMG SP) and factory management, both within OTF and across the VF.
  • The successful candidate will also mentor the site EPCOT, process engineering, and FCE leadership to establish the processes and best know methods for successfully completing the install and qualification of new capacity to meet designated ramp milestones.
  • Demonstrate competence in project management, engineering, industrial engineering, operations, corporate services, construction, safety, organizational development and people management.
  • Demonstrate capability to utilize experts from multiple technical and business fields to synthesize complex and robust solutions in a HVM environment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of factory operations/disciplines and the ability to integrate them.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in applying project management and Lean thinking, tools, and systems to build a learning organization as well as developing high performing teams. The successful candidate will be able to develop the future IQ leaders of OTF.

Qualifications:
EPCOT Department Manager in OTF Organization reporting to the Factory Manager, and member of OTF Staff responsible for driving the organization. A department manager in OTF should be able to work across functional areas with OTF Department Manager Peers as well as VF peers. This individual will influence OTF EPCOT vision, setting the objectives and executing to the deliverables to make OTF a world class factory on all key strategic objectives (Safety, People, org health, Quality, Output, Velocity, Cost).

Experience in:

  • Technology transfer and ramp with emphasis on process tool installation and qualification.
  • Fab engineering and manufacturing experience [10nm/ 14nm/ 22nm/ or 32nm generation].
  • Construction and Corporate Services.
  • Model based problem solving.
  • Project Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Working relationship with FCE, TMG SP, and Corporate Services.
  • Work experience in multiple expertise areas.
  • An engineering degree and prior technology transfer and startup experience.
  • Demonstrated Leadership and Management of technical teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in one of the following: Manufacturing Science/Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field of study.
  • 15+ years of Process Engineering, Manufacturing experience or other related engineering functional areas in 300mm semiconductor manufacturing
