Job Description

As a new product introduction (NPI) and Yield integration engineer to join the Die Prep, Die Sort, Wafer Level Assembly high-volume manufacturing (HVM) factory start up team for NPI readiness and implementing yield and quality-output improvement systems for the factory. Successful candidate will define and implement systems needed to ensure smooth startup, ramp, and sustaining of Die prep, Die and Wafer Sort, and Wafer Level Assembly high volume manufacturing. They will role model collaboration across boundaries with inclusive and result oriented mindset, identify risks, priorities, fixes, and demonstrate progress to key milestones to meet HVM goals.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with both upstream, downstream, and cross functional key partners to ensure successful transfer, NPI, and ramp of new technology into HVM.
  • Planning, coordinating and flawlessly executing the introduction of new Product/Process technologies.
  • Developing solutions to problems by utilizing formal education, knowledge of manufacturing process, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
  • Independently driving recommendations and implementing the Quality and Yield improvement roadmap.
  • Driving and prioritizing integrated experiments to troubleshoot and optimize process flows
  • Owning particular sections of process flow, and responsible for its optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement goals.
  • Maintaining and driving process qualification matrix and deliverables
  • Leading factory defect baseline performance improvement and excursion prevention
  • Presenting to leadership on all process-related issues impacting Production and Yield
  • Ensuring change management is communicated and conducted efficiently with proper watching plan
  • Managing root cause analysis and creating plans for scrap and excursion abatement
  • Working with Process Engineering to improve process stability and capability as well as reduce defects
  • Formulating theoretical explanations and models to problems based on scientific principles

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry. Physics or any other related discipline.
  • 1 + years experience in Product Yield Analysis, Low Yield Analysis, or Quality-output methods and methodologies experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leading cross teams debug working groups
  • Background in Die Prep, Wafer Level Assembly, Advanced Wafer Prep, Packaging assembly and Test process and understanding of end-to-end material movement flow (Silicon Fab to Customer).
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard building, and automated analysis.
