Job Description

The Quality and Reliability Modeling Software Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Develop statistical and physics-based Q+R models for product Q+R assessments.
  • Work with Intel silicon and package technology development, product quality groups, power and performance teams to construct inputs and requirements to develop predictive software models and algorithms to optimize product quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Solve emerging technological challenges associated with product quality modeling in the industry.
  • Conduct risk assessments of products using advanced modeling software.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Material Science or related field of study.
  • 1+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Reliability characterization of semiconductor devices, integrated circuits, microprocessor platforms and components, failure mechanisms.
    • Data analysis and model extraction methods.
    • Develop mathematical models of electrical, thermal, and reliability characteristics and implement them in software code.
    • Understanding of statistics including design of experiments, quality assurance, and reliability failure rate. Experience with statistical modeling tools, software, and framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (e.g. .NET(C#, C++), WPF, MVVM Design, JAVA) and scripting such as Python.
  • Experience in data analytics, machine learning algorithm, Monte Carlo simulation, or optimization algorithm development.
