Material Program Manager III (MPM) needed in Air Power (AP) Mission Area to serve as StormBreaker Program Lead responsible for all production, growth, and sustainment pillar supply chain activities.

Job Summary:

As a critical member of the Program's Leadership Team, the MPM Program Lead is accountable for creating a vision around supply chain requirements and process initiatives; driving systemic improvements for material flow and accountability; instilling a "can-do" sense of ownership and alignment between the Supply Chain, Program, and Functional Organizations; and partnering with the StormBreaker supply base to drive affordability, sustainability, and buy-in.

The MPM Program Lead will leverage a direct-reporting team of six to establish documented material strategies/plans; propose/negotiate and execute to contractual requirements; generate accurate financial estimates at complete (EAC); and facilitate cross-functional Material Planning activities with Hardware Management Teams and Integrated Product Team Leads in support of financial/schedule performance commitments.

Applicants for this position must have at least 10 years demonstrated leadership experience and extensive knowledge in supply chain, procurement, finance, contracts, production control, logistics, and program material strategy.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance as of day 1 of employment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Instilling a culture of strategic thinking in support of planning, procurement, and material management excellence
  2. Creating a vision around supply chain requirements and process initiatives to drive improvements in material flow/accountability
  3. Developing material strategies and overseeing the preparation and execution of Material Program Plans (MPPs)
  4. Presenting/reporting to Monthly Execution Review and Product Area Reviews with Sr. Leadership
  5. Driving accountability for supply chain leveraging standardized performance metrics
  6. Identifying/mitigating material program risks through clearly defined handling plans and an integrated root cause/corrective action process
  7. Upholding to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) financial commitments and mitigate risks to sales, cash flow, and Estimates at Complete (EAC)
  8. Participating in projects (both Supply Chain and Program) to drive material efficiencies and increase material affordability
  9. Ensuring integrated Product Development Process (IPDP) compliance including tailoring, when applicable, for Gate 0-11 activities
  10. Mentoring and leading an MPM team of six
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or in a related field is required
  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in supply chain or related defense/aerospace experience is required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience creating and executing Material Program Plans/Material Strategies for major contracts or sub-contracts
  • Experience with solving material planning/procurement issues
  • Management experience in a matrix environment including direct report experience with all applicable performance development responsibilities
Qualifications we Value:
  • Masters degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain and/or additional professional certifications desired
  • Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role
  • MPM Level 3 Certification
  • A working knowledge of ITAR rules and regulations and experience with ITAR Licenses and Agreements: (TAAs, DSP-73s, DPS-5s, etc.)
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills; ability to listen well and communicate effectively with others
  • Cost Account Manager, material sales and EAC experience
  • Knowledge and experience in Export/Import Compliance requirements for international business partners and suppliers
  • Extremely strong analytical skills; ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources
