We want you to fulfill a systems engineer role developing Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions to protect the US war fighters technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The System Security Engineering Department (SSE) is seeking engineering professionals for a Section Manager position. The SSE department oversees all aspects Cyber Security and Program Protection across RMD. The Section Manager will be responsible for the sustainment, assessment and development of the section, and will ensure engineers adhere to RMD policies, vision, values and goals.

Join this highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our war fighters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Continuous improvement of our people: Deliver performance feedback, conduct career development discussions, develop career growth plans Communications flow-down to section and up to department/center/directorate levels
  • Workforce planning: Manage tasking of section employees
  • Hiring: Develop job requisitions, review resumes, conduct interviews, attend hiring events, make hiring decisions and onboard employees
  • Support HR incidents and investigations
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, CPT and IPT leads to achieve business objectives
  • Support proposal development; generate and review program BOEs
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 8 + years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience related to Systems Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, Cybersecurity Engineering and Cybersecurity capability integration
  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics to include Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, or similar. (An Advanced Degree in a related field and will count for and addtional 3 years experience)
  • Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by various intelligence agencies
  • Experience with Cybersecurity vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools; e.g., NMap, Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
  • Experience managing and growing a team of engineers
  • Collaborating with program and engineering disciplines and ensuring cybersecurity solution alternatives
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in RMD with in-depth understanding of the Matrix organization Experience with RMD processes: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Estimate-At-Complete (EAC), Agile, proposal development, etc.
  • Experience with system engineering development processes (development of A, B2, requirements, ConOps, System Architecture documents, SEMP, etc)
  • Experience in line management of complex engineering teams driving performance and managing through change
  • Experience with multi-level security
  • Knowledge of DoD Exportability/Releasability Requirements
  • Experience working U.S. Government contract proposals as Cyber Security Engineer subject matter expert
  • Collaborating with program and engineering disciplines and ensuring cybersecurity solution alternatives
