The System Design & Architecture Directorate (SD&A) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). Job Description:
  • The System Security Engineering Department is seeking engineering professionals for a Section Lead position. The SSE department leads all aspects Cyber Security and Program protection across RMD. The section lead will be responsible for the sustainment, assessment and development of the section, and will ensure engineers adhere to RMD policies, vision, values and goals.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Continuous improvement of our people: Deliver performance feedback, conduct career development discussions, develop career growth plans Communications flow-down to section and up to department/center/directorate levels
  • Ensure organization adheres to RMD policies, vision, values and goals
  • Workforce planning: Manage tasking of section employees
  • Hiring: Develop job requisitions, review resumes, conduct interviews, attend hiring events, make hiring decisions and onboard employees
  • Support HR incidents and investigations
  • Interact with Program Managers, CPT and IPT leads to achieve business objectives
  • Support proposal development; generate and review program BOEs

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience related to Systems Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, Cybersecurity Engineering and Cybersecurity capability integration
  • Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by various intelligence agencies.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools; e.g., NMap, Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
  • Experience in line management of complex engineering teams driving performance and managing through change
  • Experience leading and growing a team of engineers.
  • Collaborating with program and engineering disciplines and ensuring cybersecurity solution alternatives.

Desired Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in RMD with in-depth understanding of the Matrix organization Experience with RMD processes: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Estimate-At-Complete (EAC), Agile, proposal development, etc.
  • Experience with system engineering development processes (development of A, B2, requirements, ConOps, System Architecture documents, SEMP, etc)
  • Experience with multi-level security.
  • Knowledge of DoD Exportability/Releasability Requirements.
  • Experience working U.S. Government contract proposals as Cyber Security Engineer subject matter expert.
  • Collaborating with program and engineering disciplines and ensuring cybersecurity solution alternatives.

Required Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
