Job Summary:
The Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Mission Area and Advanced Technology (AT) Mission Area of Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) have a joint opportunity for a Finance Manager for the competitive Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI) program expected to be awarded in June 2021. The GPI program is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program that will extend the family of Standard Missile 3 products through an evolutionary design extension. The GPI program will be awarded in phases, beginning with a $17M acceleration phase, followed by 4 phases over 2022 2028, including development and LRIP, totalling more than $1B. There will be a competitive down-select in late 2021 or 2022.

As the Manager II Financial Analysis, you will partner with the PM, IPT Leads, Business Development, and all program functions to collaborate and provide the team with insight and solutions to drive the business and program financial execution and ultimately make the program successful throughout the down-select phase. During the initial acceleration phase, the Business Manager will jointly report to the Strategic Engagement Systems Finance Leader and the Advanced Effectors Finance Leader. At award of Phase 1, the Business Manager will shift to reporting to the Strategic Missile Defense area only as the program transitions out of AT. In this role, you will be part of the proposal team during a down select phase and simultaneously have financial management responsibilities for on-going contractual efforts. You will be responsible for standing up a new finance team, then developing and managing a diverse, interpersonal and strong team of Program Finance Analysts in support of the program and right sizing the team for the phased approach to the program.

Working location of the position will be in Tucson, AZ as a Hybrid remote/onsite employee. Relocation provided.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Leverage experience in program control finance, accounting and FP&A to meet all internal and external reporting requirements
  2. Strong program experience, specifically in program EAC development in conjunction with identifying issues early and developing corrective action plans, managing risks, opportunities and implementation plans.
  3. External financial reporting and analysis to support program execution, and providing continual customer and partner-contractor interaction and support on in all financial aspects of the program.
  4. Ensure EVMS reporting within DFARS requirements in the monthly IPMR CDRL (IPMDAR), and performing trend analysis for EVMS metrics include staffing/labor analysis and tracking.
  5. Lead investment analysis of NBI (IRAD, B&P and Selling) and Capital to optimize and report on investment performance.
  6. Partnering closely and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with the GPI Program Director and members of the GPI program Leadership Team.
This position is contingent upon contract award.

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 8+ years of relevant progressive financial professional work experience preferably related to financial analysis in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience in a defense or aerospace industry
  • Experience in Earned Value Management Systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
