Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join the Strategic Sensor Systems (S3) team and manage the S3 portfolio within the Strategic Missiles Defense (SMD) Mission Area. The S3 portfolio is a complex portfolio with $1B+ in recurring annual sales, consisting of domestic and international contracts, all contract types, and all phases of the product lifecycle. This position requires a self-starter with demonstrated leadership and analytical skills, strong business acumen with an eye for innovation and process improvement, and the ability to drive accuracy and efficiency into all FP&A activities and deliverables. Key characteristics include proactive leadership, operating with a sense of urgency, ability to drive actions to completion, creative problem solving, and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Lead period-closing activities and execute the weekly/monthly cadence across S3 for inputs, reviews, and on-time submittal of deliverables to SMD FP&A
  2. Deliver accurate and timely analysis of financial performance, key metrics (bookings, sales, profit, and cash), elements of cost, and provide early identification and communication of issues impacting financial performance
  3. Ownership all financial reports, presentations, and FP&A deliverables
  4. Lead the S3 Short Range Outlook (SRO) process and drive predictability and accuracy
  5. Prepare and brief weekly/monthly forecast and other ad-hoc presentations to S3 and SMD leadership
  6. Review and analyze S3 Balance Sheet, Overhead, and Investments including Capital projects, IRAD projects, NBI spending, CFRs and ARs
  7. Establish and drive the schedule for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) activities to meet the SMD deadlines and maintain ownership of all S3 deliverables
  8. Drive efficiencies through process improvement and grow FP&A best practices across S3
  9. Manage one or more direct reports
  10. Influence and collaborate with matrixed teams, functional peers, and leadership
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 8+ years of relevant progressive financial professional work experience
  • Experience and success in business Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experienced in advanced skills in Excel skills are imperative
