Job Description: Manager I Manufacturing (G09)
This role will require forward deployment to Qatar under the terms of an MOU/Long Term International Assignment managed by Raytheon International Assignment Services (IAS). The terms of relocation will be covered by the MOU.

This role requires production floor management experience with integration of Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) like Major End Items (MEIs) Radars, Launchers, Shelters, AMGs, Trucks, and Generators. The successful candidate will apply their Manufacturing Operations execution experience as a member of the in-country program team. Preference will be given to candidates with experience living and working in the Middle East. Knowledge of the manufacturing floor required to successfully execute the Qatar NASAMS program in relation to integration activities and tasks is the key discriminator and function of this role.

Transition to Production. Description Assist the Integration Ops Lead with integration production line set up. Required manufacturing knowledge and expertise includes: tooling required; manufacturing process instruction knowledge; required chemicals and consumables and usage rates; estimating labor hours and cycle times to perform integration and delta-test tasks; floor space required to perform integration and test tasks; etc.

Production. Description In-Country Integration Tech. Performs three primary tasks during production phase of program: A) Represent RMD Manufacturing Operations on the cross-functional integration team in-country and provide manufacturing expertise and knowledge; B) Represent RMD Manufacturing Operations to our industrial partners (KDA) and the Qatar customer; C) In conjunction with the Integration Operations Lead, execute integration tracking processes focusing on Quality, Cost and Schedule in order to provide early identification of production issues so that they can be mitigated before they impact overall program plans.

Leadership. Description This role will be responsible assisting with dotted line supervision and leadership to several Other Foreign National (OFN) and Kongsberg Defense employees supporting the integration efforts. Additionally, the successful candidate must be prepared and capable of backfilling the Integration Operations Lead responsible for Integration production and test tasks.

Required Skills:
  • Willingness and ability to live in Qatar for minimum of 2 years
  • 2+ years of experience specifically in manufacturing production and/or test
  • 6+ years of experience in Operations/General Management
  • Experience leading production teams in manufacturing and test environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of LW&AD MEIs manufacturing, integration and test
  • Bachelor of Science or Administration Degree and/or extensive work experience in manufacturing, integration, cell or field engineering leadership.

  • Strong organization skills, with an attention to detail
  • Six Sigma Certified
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • International experience preferably in the Middle East
  • The ability to collaborate across multiple functions and ensure the completion of projects and initiatives
  • The ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Manage multiple ad hoc and routine projects concurrently
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and proven accomplishments
  • Experience or exposure with NASAMS product
  • Understanding and use of export and import controls, compliance and licensing
  • Experience with Engineering, Operations, Production Control, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Contracts, Legal, IT, Facilities and Finance organizations
  • Experience with Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) application.
  • Safety Champion experience to include conducting onsite safety briefs to internal and external personal
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor of Science or Administration Degree or two years of experience for every year of degree equivalency plus required years of work experience in manufacturing, integration, cell or field engineering leadership.
