Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) in Louisville, KY is currently hiring for a HR Manager II who to support the Louisville manufacturing site. As a member of Human Resources team, you will be a critical enabler in the execution and application of RMDs core Human Resources processes, responsible for the administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as well as policies and practices.
The HR Manager II will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities to support designated customer groups within Operations & Security. They will collaborate with leaders as an advisor and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, active participant in contract negotiations, employee relations and labor relations. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and Generalists across RMD, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, CBA Administration, succession planning, employee engagement, talent development.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Models Employee Advocacy behavior and serves as a trusted advisor to front, mid-level leaders, senior leaders and employees.
  • Serves as the onsite resource for contract administration and other Labor Relations functions.
  • Serves as a partner focusing on brokering solutions to business problems.
  • Serves as a resource for driving a culture of Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Executes critical HR processes, including compensation, performance management and talent acquisition.
  • Collaborates amongst other HR organizations such as Organizational Effectiveness (OE), and Global Talent Development (GTD) to achieve business and talent objectives.
  • Collaborates with Labor Relations leadership in Tucson, AZ and RMD communities of expertise (COE)
  • Acts as the Human Resources Representative for hourly employees of Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) Louisville, KY site on issues such as payroll changes, benefits, leave of absence and other miscellaneous matters.
  • Runs reports, maintains HR systems, develops metrics and analyzes data.
  • Models consistent application of Raytheon HR policies to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions.
  • Assists in the interview process, helps drive decisions and recommendations.
  • Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee relations, training, leadership development, employee communications, and diversity & inclusion in support of strategic objectives.
  • Investigates and resolves Employee Relations issues and complaints, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Ethics-related case investigations. Focuses on maintaining a positive employee relations environment and culture.
  • Ability to interpret labor and employment law principles and adhere to Human Resources policies and procedures.

Required Skills:
  • 8 years of progressive Human Resource experience in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and acting as an internal consultant to management in the interpretation of CBA language, disciplinary recommendations and employee counseling.
  • Experience leading HR related programs (Compensation, Performance Management, etc.)
  • Experience coaching managers regarding employee performance & talent development.
  • Experience and strong proficiency serving as a consultant to leaders for their organization on highly significant matters relating to organizational strategies and efficiencies.
  • Ability to interpret labor and employment law principles and adhere to Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products.

Desired Skills:
  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and relevant HR Certifications, PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Experience building effective working relationships with a broad range of management styles at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong HR and business acumen with experience driving HR strategic partnerships in influencing business results.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and managing change in a matrixed environment.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and handle high levels of confidentiality.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law legislation to include investigations and handling of employee relations issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include conducting presentations at senior manager level.
  • Experience and understanding of a wide array of Human Resources management systems and tools, including talent and performance management, compensation and rewards systems.
