This position is for an intern who will be entering their sophomore or higher year by the start of summer 2022.

Job Summary:
A Metrology Engineering Intern within manufacturing will work individually and participate on engineering teams developing calibration methods, systems, and procedures, analyzing measurement systems and error sources, troubleshooting test and computer systems, and contributing to continuous improvement of calibration processes in the Metrology Department. Some direct mentoring and management oversight is expected.

This position can be a sophomore, junior, senior or post-grad intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
  • Sophomore Technical - must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
  • Junior Technical - must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
  • Senior Technical - must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
  • Post-Graduate Technical - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2022 pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with preferred majors in Electrical and Computer engineering, Optical and Physics
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
