Raytheon Technologies Precision Manufacturing is a leader in high precision mechanical product manufacturing. The business consists of multiple sites in the Dallas area with around 560 employees. Raytheon Technologies Precision Manufacturing is experiencing growth with primary focus in the defense and aerospace markets.

Job Summary:

The Methods & Tooling Engineer will be responsible for creating work instructions to manufacture complex, high precision, metal parts. Also, work with shop to solve manufacturing problems, and improve processes.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Create manufacturing plan to fabricate new parts.
  • Create rework instructions to repair non-conforming parts.
  • Work in SAP Prism to create required routers, and processes for a variety of different parts.
  • Providing cost and time estimates for new products.
  • Coordination of Non-Recurring Engineering efforts for new and old products including NC programming, CMM programming, Tool Design, and Processing/Assembly instructions.
  • Provide engineering support to resolve complex problems arising during the fabrication process. Investigation and recommend productivity enhancements.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience

This position can be a Sr. Tech Support Engineer I or a Sr. Tech Support Engineer II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of related Manufacturing experience; Twelve (12) years of related experience without Bachelor degree
  • Experience in the use of SAP, and Pro-Engineer software
  • Experience working with Methodization of product to include: cutting tool requirements, fixture design, process flow analysis, operation methods analysis
  • Experience working with labor estimates
Qualifications We Value:
  • High level planning experience working with cost and schedule.
  • Knowledge of PC-DMIS programming software
  • Production Control and Factory Planning experience desired
  • Ability to disposition defects and generate rework instructions
  • Prior experience working with external/internal customers
