We have an opening for a Technical Coordinator Sr. Engineering Associate (339.2). The position is in the Manufacturing Engineering Section of the Materials Engineering Division and supporting the Engineering Associate Directorate. You will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support for the acquisition and fabrication of general hardware, data acquisition systems, and mechanical equipment and hardware for various projects.Essential Duties
- Provide advanced technical coordination and/or oversight for multiple complex LLNL projects, procurements, and/or facility operations.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate independently with scientists, engineers, high-level personnel, vendors, and outside suppliers.
- Analyze and determine most efficient, expeditious, and cost-effective methods to source and/or fabricate complex products.
- Provide input and estimates for budgets, schedules, and workforce needs.
- Present information to engineering/scientific teams, vendors, and program management.
- Provide highly advanced technical and technical management/supervision support.
- Develop and refine technical systems, operations, or maintenance strategies.
- Author, review, and approve reports, operation/maintenance manuals, and other related documents.
- Routinely present material to management, staff, and peers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
- Highly advanced skills, knowledge, and understanding of relevant manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Experience working with a multidisciplinary team with project planning, budgeting, and workforce planning.
- Advanced written and verbal communication, feedback, and presentation skills in technical areas.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills including supervision.
- High level interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience mentoring others in specific on-the-job training, with advanced technical skills specific to assignment, may also include administrative and technical leadership skills.
- Highly advanced skills and understanding of relevant technologies and processes to solve highly complex problems.

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ASME Y14.5M.
- Advanced knowledge of LLNL purchasing, procurement, and organizational procedures.

Security Clearance: This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.For additional information, please see DOE Order 472.2.
