IPG MCOE Firmware Team is looking for talented, open-minded, eager to learn and passionate candidates ready to join us on our journey to provide Best in Class Memory [LPDDR/DDR /GDDR/ HBM] Link Training as an Firmware Development Engineer. As a MCOE Memory Firmware Engineer you will be enabling the leading edge Memory Technology on DDR/LPDDR/HBM/GDDR and will help define Intel's IP Firmware architectures used across a broad range of Intel products such as Client, Servers , Networking and GPUs.

In this role you will have an opportunity to work as a member of DDR IP Development Team while collaborating with many engineers/teams [Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon] worldwide on development of DDR PHY Training powering latest and future Intel silicon. This is a technical role that requires you to use your Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering skills and will allow you to gain a deep understanding of the latest Memory Protocol and related technologies. You will have an opportunity to grow your career as an Firmware Architect in inclusive and friendly environment.

The IP Engineering Group (IPG) develops soft and hard IP that enable the creation of Intel products. As Firmware Engineer at Intel, you will deal with challenging embedded architecture and external interfaces, develop advanced architectures/features that meet product constraints and strive to provide innovative platform value, engage in low-level programming, system architecture, device architecture, as well as source code development, review and maintenance (C/C++), unit and system level test and verification.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 6+ years of experience -OR- a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 4+ years of experience in the following:

  • System BIOS Firmware development
  • C programming
  • Firmware development, PC architecture or system Basic Input Output System (BIOS)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with:

  • Firmware, Memory, DRAM technology
  • Industry software engineering processes, principles and product life cycles
  • Assembly language
  • Memory Algorithms and related technologies DDR/LPDDR/GDDR
