The Leadership Development Program (LDP) at Raytheon Technologies is a cross functional, fast-tracked leadership program focused on early career talent, with proven potential to be leaders both during and upon graduating from the program. The program incorporates three in-person, enterprise cross-functional sessions held over a two year period.

Participants will receive challenging assignments to develop functional skills. Participants may travel to attend training sessions providing not only contracts-specific training but also training across different functions to develop leadership and business acumen. Participants will visit Raytheon Technologies sites during the program and will have exposure to RTX leadership across the enterprise.

Job Description:

The Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (RELDP) is an early career rotational program for top engineering students around the world. The program allows accelerated development opportunities. The goal is to grow world class leaders through exposure to cutting edge principles, products and trends, and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

Participants will receive a holistic view of RTX through cross-business unit rotations to gain technical breadth. Roles span across various engineering disciplines, will be able to see the product lifecycle with broad exposure to products and technologies.

Participants will receive high-caliber training, mentoring and guidance from leading RTX executives, engineering leaders, technical fellows, subject matter experts as well as current participants and alumni in order to build a strong network of colleagues across RTX. The program is sponsored by the Vice President, Technology & Global Engineering.

The first assignment will be with the Weapons & Platform Center (W&PC), located within the Systems Integration and Test Directorate. W&PC is seeking a Systems Integrator Engineer for development and production programs to lead and support test planning, integration, testing, and analysis. Candidate should have experience in Hardware Integration of missile systems for product integration, field qualification and requirement verification. The assignment is located in Tucson, AZ.

The candidate may perform/be responsible for test and integration tasks which include: review and analysis data elements, perform root cause and corrective action analysis, pedigree control, creation and presentation of Consent to Ship (CTS) and Test Readiness Review (TRR) Packages, support of field testing and associated travel, support proposal efforts and champion respect, ethics and diversity initiatives within the organization.

Selection for the Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program will be based on the following minimum criteria:
  • Willingness to geographically relocate for all rotational assignments during a two-year period and flexibility to travel/live anywhere in the US and possibly abroad
  • Strong technical skills with fluency in one or more engineering disciplines
  • Energetic and results-driven, thriving in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Capacity to lead, motivate and influence through effective communications
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • One or more technical publications or conference presentations are a plus
  • Foreign language proficiency is a plus (not required)
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. The candidate must also have experience with 2 or more of the following areas:
  • Experience developing and evaluating requirements in Platform Integration/Flight Test
  • Experience with troubleshooting and/or failure process in Field testing
  • Experience in a lab/field test equipment
  • Experience with Verification and Validation methods and associated activities
  • Experience creating integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvements in Hardware Systems Integration

  • Experience in integration with test equipment, telemetry data analysis tools, and missile systems host platforms

Required Education:
  • Graduating with a Masters Degree or PhD in engineering or hard science in the current academic year (September 2020 - June 2021)
  • A 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies
