Job Description

As a member of the Networking Platforms Operations (NPO) Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering team you will be a key member to deliver the next generation of PCIe (PCI Express) and OCP (Open Compute Project) network cards. The Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is responsible for the development and sustaining phases of Network Adapter Cards from initial product design to end of life. MEs also work to develop and enhance processes to improve product manufacturability, cost avoidance and factory efficiency.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Implementation of new technologies, components, tools and fixtures.
  • Development and support of assembly documents, build readiness and providing factory training.
  • Managing board and system Bills of Materials.
  • Providing manufacturing floor new product support for builds at external sub-contractors.
  • Driving corrective actions on build issues, assisting in debug activities and improving quality metrics.
  • Conducting DFM reviews for boards and systems to improve manufacturability.


Qualifications

Education Requirement:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Required Qualifications:

-1 + years of experience with Microprocessor architecture concepts, and software/hardware interactions.

- 1 + years of Verifiable course work in Thermodynamics required.
- 1 + years of Verifiable course work in a commercially available CAD software --(Solidworks preferred).
- 1 + years Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software e.g FlowTherm highly desired.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in technical design review capability or course work in; Design for Manufacturability, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Machine Design.
- Experience working in the Electronics Industry is highly preferred
