Job Description:Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) Mechanical Product Team (MPT) provides engineering design, integration and production to a wide range of hardware in RMD. The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department leads mechanical design, development and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development, and site integration. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration and production support.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Mechanical design and documentation of Patriot hardware and systems
- Factory and supplier support of product integration domestically and internationally
- Interface with other engineering disciplines and non-technical disciplines and interface with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Support development, evaluation and analysis of mechanical designs.
- Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation
- Resolution of change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
- Holding design reviews and resolving action items
- Development of rework and/or modification procedures
- Support the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status and participate in problem resolution.
- Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Required Skills: - Two (2)+ years engineering design experience with a focus on hardware development
- Expertise using CAD software, preferably Creo (Pro/ENGINEER)
Desired Skills: - Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
- Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
- Experience in technical risk management
- Experience with earned value management and reporting of task metrics and analysis
- Experience developing cost proposal estimates
- Understanding of the product development lifecycle models and program lifecycle modes
- Ability to resolve technical issues resulting from manufacturing or supplier inquiries
- Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Required Education (including Major): - BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
