Entry level engineer supporting the F35 Hydraulic and Utility Actuation team. Primary responsibilities will include evaluation of component field failure data and capturing opportunities to implement product improvement changes. Candidate will coordinate root cause and corrective action activities with hydraulic system suppliers and lead change implementation to capture reliability improvement opportunities. This development position will give exposure to aircraft operation of the hydraulic and utility actuation system; field failure resolution; supplier technical management; and design change implementation process

Researches, plans, designs, analyzes, develops, tests, and certifies aircraft structure and mechanical systems for advanced fighter aircraft. Components worked on include Air Vehicle Structure, or Systems such as aircraft fuel, hydraulic, armament, landing gear, propulsion, environmental control, crew escape, life support, and mechanical power systems. Participate in issue resolution, develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and technical analyses necessary to support development and manufacturing activities

**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering or related technical field

Desired skills
o Highly motivated individual with the ability to learn continuously and ability to identify multiple avenues to successfully reach team goals
o Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations
o Strong mechanical ability with desire to build root cause/investigation skills
o Good written an oral communication skills
o Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers

Candidate should have an understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts. Solid math and science background. Aircraft/aerospace related education/exposure. Knowledge of Mechanical Design principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); fluency in mechanical modeling tools, such as I-DEAS, Pro-E, Unigraphics, Autocad, CATIA V5 or similar tools. Fundamental understanding of structures and materials
