Job Description

In this position, you will be part of the Server Product Development Engineering group within the Manufacturing Group. The team is involved from product definition through high volume manufacturing. The job scope will provide the opportunities to work with different organizations including Design, Quality and Reliability, Process, Marketing, and others. Behavioral traits for this position include; problem solving, written and verbal communications, and ability to work with a diverse range of individuals.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for pre-silicon Design-For-Test definition and validation, SOC characterization and debugging
  • Be involved in special circuit validation and characterization, developing solutions for efficient debug and characterization of SOC products
  • Characterization of analog circuits such as PLLs/Thermal sensors/IO buffers on Intel's next generation of Server products
  • Si characterization of Power/Performance of the CPU, Graphics and other SOC blocks
  • Drive/define DFT for next generation SOC product for high volume manufacturing, Characterization and validation
  • Simulate/validate post silicon usage model of DFT on RTL/MSS
  • Validate SOC analog/IO DFT on ATE/Tester including trace-to-pattern conversion
  • Development of Post-Si tester solutions to successfully characterize, validate and release test solutions to high volume manufacturing
  • Ensures the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp
  • Makes significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits
  • Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods
  • Develops and debugs complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment
  • Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions
  • Tests, validates, modifies and redesigns circuits to guarantee component margin to specification
  • Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability
  • Analyzes early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities
  • Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints
  • Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years of applicable experience -OR- a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of applicable experience in the following:

  • Microprocessor test (ATE and/or system test and/or pre-silicon verification)
  • SOC analog/logic validation
  • DFT/DFD, hardware testing methods and tools
  • Hardware language (Verilog/SV) and scripting language (i.e. Perl or Python)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • PLL, IO validation in post-Si/MFG (and/or pre-Si)
  • Circuit design/Si process/test domains. Chipset integrated circuit testing and high volume manufacturing
  • Hardware architecture, analog/logic/memory design and implementation
