The candidate will perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments related to hardware assembly processes and testing. Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns. Candidate will participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of M&P, prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports. The candidate will coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement

This position requires access Export Controlled Information and the ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferably in Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education

Familiar with a variety of materials and process engineering disciplines including adhesives, bonding, cleaning, and manufacturing operations

2D and/or 3D CAD experience

Experience with metals and welding

Experience with corrosion protection

Experience with paints, coatings, and lubricants

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired skills
Familiar with general aerospace materials and processes

Familiar with manufacturer/supplier data sheets

Familiar with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management program

Familiar with SAP/ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Familiar with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as radiography and penetrant inspection

Familiar with a variety of other materials and process engineering disciplines including adhesives, bonding, cleaning, and manufacturing operations

Strong writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

Advanced proficiency in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project) and SAP is a plus
