In the Air Power Mission Area, the Tactical Strike portfolio is looking for a Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead the material strategies and execute the program material strategy execution.
The Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills. The candidate for this position must be a self-starter, capable of supporting and executing organizational and Program objectives.
The MPM must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. The successful candidate will represent Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies and objectives, and will oversee all SCM activities required to meet Program requirements. The position requires an individual who is persistent in influencing others to execute their responsibilities on time and escalates as required to achieve objectives.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Ability to obtain final DoD Secret security clearance is required.
MPM Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute material program plans, subcontract management plans (as applicable)
Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives & proactively manage mitigation plans
Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed
Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
Support all gate review and activity, EAC review, program review and risk and opportunity management reviews
Oversight of subcontractor execution performance
Required Education Experience & Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar is required
At least 8 years of progressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Project, Program, Product, Finance and/or Supplier Management is required
Experience working in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)
U.S. Citizenship
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
Active Secret Clearance
Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in leading efforts, including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.
High degree of financial acumen, understand the mechanics of strong supplier negotiations and be able to influence an acceptance in execution of cost reduction opportunities.
