Raytheon requires a visionary leader to help shape global supply chain (GSC) strategy and drive contract performance and growth across the Tactical Strike (TS) Product Area Directorate (PAD). Contained within the Air Power (AP) Mission Area (MA), the TS GSC Senior Manager (aka Material Program Manager (MPM) Lead) reports into the PAD GSC Associate Director supporting the Griffin, HARM, Maverick, Paveway, and GPAW programs.

Job Summary:

A successful MPM Lead will be self-driven, organized, and have demonstrated effective project management and communication skills (verbal and written). They will be accountable for driving systemic improvements in support of supply chain contract performance as well as instilling a can-do sense of ownership and alignment between the supply chain execution, program, growth, and cross-functional execution partners.

The MPM Lead is directly accountable for GSC contract performance, growth, as well as collaboration with the appropriate execution partners. They are accountable for program-level strategy development, implementation, and performance. The Lead manages an MPM team of up to six direct-reports who act as supply chain liaisons between functional LT, program office leadership, and supply chain execution.

Responsibilities span from the front end of the business Supply Chain activities through contract closure. This position offers a unique balance between leading and implementing strategic initiatives that impact the overall PAD GSC team, while also performing tactical activities that supplement the program and growth teams.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Developing, integrating, and executing to supply chain strategies/plans w/ reporting at program, PAD, and MA levels
  • Managing accurate estimate at complete forecasting, predictability, performance, as well as risks and opportunities; approval authority within portfolio
  • Gates 4+ functional reviews and support; approval authority within program
  • Developing and managing to labor budgets for MPM team and across GSC functions
  • Developing and managing to supply chain budgets and opportunity targets

    Qualifications you must have:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, project/program management, and/or related experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or commercial industries
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience supporting/leading strategic efforts
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with Supplier management and/or Subcontract management
  • Experience with supply chain and related systems, procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and finance

    Qualifications we value:
  • Experience translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements
  • Experience in managing technical requirements to a schedule and budget
  • Experience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of internal management
  • Strong negotiation experience
  • Experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading training/knowledge-share efforts with teammates
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma (CORE) or Lean Methodologies/principals
  • Cost account manager, material sales experience
  • Proposal experience
  • Experience with SAP and the Supply Chain Suite of Tools
  • Working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR)
  • Experiencing aligning design needs with best-in-class suppliers
  • Extremely strong analytical skills; ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills; ability to listen well and communicate effectively with others
