Master Production Schedule Process Lead/Manager

The Planning and Production Control Manager is fully responsible for supporting production control teams that are assigned to factories and value streams within the Make Centers. The Master Production Schedule (MPS) Systems and Process Lead, Manager II will be able to independently create, support, sustain and audit our processes and instructions that support the data integrity of the MRP system, as it pertains to the MPS. This position may have direct reports

This position can be Master Production Schedule Process Lead-Mgr I or Master Production Schedule Process Lead-Mgr II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

U.S Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

This position is eligible to be a remote, work from home position, with periodic requirements for in person meetings and dialogue


Responsibilities:

Accountable for creating a cohesive process for routine data integrity, system maintenance and audits to ensure goals and objectives are met for MRP performance
Work cohesively with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to develop and enhance processes and procedures to achieve best in class MRP and MPS within RMD West
Accountable for the compliance of applicable FAR/DFARS regulations; as required to support MMAS
Interface with government agencies leading regulated and required activities
Provide Subject Matter guidance on processes and policies to Production Control and other functional groups
Lead and provide assistance in any applicable audit activities, including but not limited to routine audits within RMD and across RTX as required
Interface with internal and external customers to support Program and Inventory Reviews
Support the organization with operation reviews, chart creation and data mining requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong communicator who can inspire superior MRP performance and drive MPS best practices throughout the organization
Knowledge of Production Control fundamentals
Knowledge of audit fundamentals
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Able to influence cross functionally to accomplish goals and objectives
Experience working with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Position Requirements:

Manager I
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. Fourteen (14) years of experience in a fast paced production, manufacturing or military environment can be considered in lieu of degree completion
Six (6) years total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration
Experience with SAP
Experience in leading teams or projects
Periodic travel may be required
U.S. Citizenship is required

Manager II
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. Sixteen (16) years of experience in a fast paced production, manufacturing or military environment can be considered in lieu of degree completion
Eight (8) years total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration
Experience with SAP
Experience in leading teams or projects
Periodic travel may be required
U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
Leadership experience
Proficient experience with MS PowerPoint and Excel
Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS & MMAS Requirements
Experience with internal processes, work instruction writing and compliance
Experience with of SAP to conduct data analysis, cleanup and identification of potential issues
Experience with reporting and ability to pull, analyze and sort data to find system and process weaknesses
Experience working with auditors and DCMA
Experience with systems such as cPDM, etc.
Experience with Business Warehouse & Rapid Response
Active DOD Security Clearance
