The Materials Planning SIOP for this job posting is for a Master Data Team Member. This team member will manage multiple parts and the associated tasks required to insure MBOMs and schedules are loaded in MRP accurately to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in the schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the factory and/or program cost and schedule requirements. They will evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements. This team member will also review and update ZMR workflow requests and perform a multitude of tasks in support of all programs. This consists of but is not limited to data cleansing parts, updating Dangerous Goods information, working directly with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Quality and all other Business Unit teams for accurate information. This individual will also review drawings in cPDM and at times run reports in PRISM for various customers. In addition this individual will be required to work in a highly charged team environment while multi-tasking several projects.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and timely

  • Work cohesively with team members

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Solve any production problems to ensure MBOMs and schedules are accurate

  • Control and analyze Bills of Material in an MRP system

  • Review and confirm material is correct and MBOMs are accurate

  • Summarize inventory issues with Production Control and Engineering to prevent residual

  • Propose and create solutions to mitigate any errors to MSISs/MBOMs in a timely manner

  • Critically analyze Material Master data

  • Review & update ZMR workflow requests

  • Review drawings for data accuracy

  • Review & understand cPDM, CIMs, Haystack, BINCS

  • Understand DGIT to update Dangerous Goods Master

  • Run reports (PRISM, SQVI, SQ01, Kinaxis)

  • Work Material Master change tasks via team email & instant message

  • Understand and perform Make to Buy / Buy to Make changes

  • Understand and perform Plant to Project / Project to Plant changes

  • Update MRP Controllers

  • Review emails and work on related tasks/requests in a timely and efficient manner

  • Collaborate with other enterprise Material Master Teams

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Quality, System Safety

  • Perform data cleansing for accuracy and data alignment across the enterprise

  • Maintain a softcopy file of changes outside the ZMR process

This position can be a Analyst, Materials Planning SIOP or a Sr Analyst, Materials Planning SIOP, based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Analyst, Materials Planning SIOP

  • Bachelor's Degree or additional 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or military environment may be substituted for each 1 year of college (8 years without a Bachelor's Degree)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Sr. Analyst, Materials Planning SIOP

  • Bachelor's Degree or additional 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or military environment may be substituted for each 1 year of college (8 years without a Bachelor's Degree)

  • Two (2) years total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration (10 years without a Bachelors Degree)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Extensive experience with the ability to share knowledge of MS Advanced Excel

  • Articulate and able to communicate effectively to non-technical peers

  • Ability to convey informative knowledge to a technical staff member

  • Follow and adhere to policies and procedures

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Training skills
