This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK Hynix. The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

This is an exciting time to be at Intel. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses industry-leading SSD technology and FAB operations.


This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK Hynix.

Employees in Intel NAND Products and Solutions Group (NPSG) work on non-volatile memory from material science and process research, through component design, manufacturing, ASIC, board, solid state drives and SW solutions. They deliver disruptive solutions that are transforming computing across all segments from Internet Portal Data Centers (IPDCs) to Consumer Client Devices such as Ultra books and Tablets. They invent, develop, bring to market, and support customers with leading-edge non-volatile memory products.

Our customers include leading cloud service providers (CSPs), IPDCs, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and other leading edge technology companies from around the world.

  • NPSG is a dynamic group that is strategically positioned to become the leading non-volatile memory solution supplier for the compute segment, driving disruptive computing changes in the industry and is a key organization to expanding markets and continuing growth for Intel.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct mask layout experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technical degree in VLSI or Physical Design/Mask Design
  • 5-year experience with industry based (CAD) layout tools including: Cadence (Virtuoso, VXL)
  • 5-year experience in verification (Calibre DRC, LVS and others)
  • 5-year experience of basic electronic circuit functionality and behaviors (passive and active circuit structures)
  • 2-year experience layout section/FUB lead experiences
  • 5-year experience in analog design and layout guidelines, high speed IO, (matching devices, symmetrical layout, signal shielding, other analog specific guidelines)
  • 5-year experience with layout of the standard cells for APR, custom standard cell library, scribe layouts, and run-set regression test cases
  • 2 years of experience with UNIX, MS Windows, and web-based tools
