Come join Intel's Design Engineering Group responsible for designing Client SoCs that make up more than half of Intel's annual revenue. We envision the future of computing and design for the next generation of laptops and desktop computers.

We are looking for a Mask Designer ready to develop lead Intel designs as we reimagine how to build SoCs at Intel and in the semiconductor industry. This role is within Intel's highly regarded Devices Development Group headquartered in Portland Oregon with additional sites in Austin Texas and Penang Malaysia. You will be a member of the Device Development Group DDG team that designs analog and mixed signal layout for Intel SOC products on advanced CMOS technology. Work is performed within broadly defined parameters. Assignments are highly complex and nonstandard in nature. Teamwork and innovative thinking are essential.

Your responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:

  • Assess and plan complex layout assignments to meet challenging schedules
  • Work closely with other Mask Designers and Circuit Designers to plan and design layout for analog mixed signal circuitry
  • Build and verify all levels - leaf cell IP, block, and Fub - of analog and mixed signal layout using various CAD tools
  • May involve mixed signal layout automation tool development and testing

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job.

Minimum Requirements
2 year technical associate's degree in an area related to Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering OR 5 years of experience in Physical Design

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an area related to Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience with:

  • Layout editing Virtuoso layout verification ICV Caliber and reliability verification
  • Scripting, especially Unix shell script, Perl, and/or TCLSkill
