Our Worldwide Marketing Finance organization is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Strategic Initiatives Manager to join the team. In this role, you will partner with worldwide groups including marketing, finance, procurement, and external agencies. You will have visibility to Apple's worldwide marketing and advertising spend, develop KPIs and measures to judge spend effectiveness, manage an annual vendor audit program, and help assess vendor commercial terms. And, you will apply your judgment and broad industry knowledge to analyze and make recommendations on various business initiatives and marketing strategies.

This individual must have strong marketing communications and advertising acumen, exceptional qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, executive partnership and relationship building skills, and be naturally curious.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of marketing experience in an agency environment or global brand managing global advertising and production budgets, spend levels, and/or commercial partnerships.
  • Experience working as a leader in a consultative or professional services environment (consulting, banking, audit), media or creative marketing agency preferred.
  • Exceptional qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong command of business and financial modeling
  • Exceptional communication skills to distill complex issues to a wide range of company partners and create impactful written and visual presentations
  • Comfortable navigating and ensuring alignment across multiple organizations and management level
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Track record of building rapport, credibility and influence with senior leadership as well as up and down multiple partner groups while working in a dynamic, highly matrix'd organization
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and work comfortably with incomplete information
  • Excellent project and time management skills; ability to pick up new concepts quickly

Description

The Strategic Initiatives Manager will build and manage relationships with senior leadership to:

Collect, analyze, and synthesize global Marketing spend by region, function, category, and channel

Develop executive management reports and dashboards analyzing the effectiveness of global marketing spend

Create and execute an annual agency audit plan to evaluate compliance, assess commercial terms, and find opportunities for efficiency or efficacy across 3rd party Marketing agencies and internal teams

Assess and provide recommendations regarding opportunities for organizational growth and/or efficiencies

Clearly and concisely present key findings, insights and proposals to senior leaders

Provide ad hoc business analysis support on marketing initiatives including long range planning, fiscal management, build/buy or partner evaluations and other strategic activities

Interact, collaborate, and develop a broad strategic understanding of cross-functional Marketing teams and external partner agency relationships

Education & Experience

BS or BA strongly preferred
