Apple's Customer Database Marketing team is responsible for providing market segmentations and insights from the Apple customers, as well as providing systems and tools to enable Apple's marketers to deliver effective communications to customers.
The Marketing Operations Systems Manager is the primary source of contact for all worldwide business users on matters related to functionality and day-to-day operations. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for assuring that the system is meeting all current business needs and for driving requirement gathering to assure that it will meet future requirements, as well as leading those projects from start to end. The role acts as the primary contact for multiple IT teams as well as various marketing teams within Apple.
This role will also take on support of other customer-facing applications, such as the unsubscribe application/data flow. Additionally providing support and expertise in cross functional projects that may result in a customer communication.

Key Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of marketing and/or email marketing principles, including deliverability standards as well as an understanding of local marketing regulatory rules (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
  • Experience managing projects in an enterprise software environment. Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML, XML, JavaScript, and databases.
  • Confirmed ability to lead a project schedule in a multifaceted environment where priorities are constantly challenged, evaluated and run proactively while meeting time and quality objectives.
  • Clear and concise communication skills. Ability to forge trusting relationships and work globally as a member of an integrated team.
  • An undergraduate degree, plus 7-10 years work experience in a product or project management or high volume production enterprise or marketing environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the production process underlying web production, email marketing, or interactive marketing is an asset.
  • Product management or system administration experience with enterprise-level email service providers such as Salesforce, CheetahMail, Adobe, Epsilon, Responsys, etc. would be ideal.

Description
-Identify, collect, and document complex business requirements for development projects to deliver the most cost effective and innovative solutions to support the company's customer contact strategies
-Prioritize projects and manage development roadmaps for small and major releases
-Manage day-to-day operations by coordinating directly with cross-functional groups to ensure the best possible user experience
-Manage production issues - communicate with users, coordinate troubleshooting efforts among teams
-Coordinate all facets of new system releases including user acceptance testing, training, and documentation
-Own and manage cross functional projects from ideation to completion, ensure project is completed on time, in scope, with business requirements delivered

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree with quantitative emphasis: Statistics, Analytics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
