In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Apple products and leave a footprint for years to come. We have an opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing process engineer to lead the development, optimization and high-volume manufacturing of key display components of next generation Apple products.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with equipment development from concept to mass production.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers or suppliers
  • Experience with continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
  • Experience with OEE or PDPM
  • Experience with design of experiments, statistical process control methods and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and metrology a plus
  • Knowledge of Tableau, JMP or Python a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

Description

Partner with engineering teams to evaluate and provide feedback on design and specifications of components and assemblies.
Plan, propose and lead experiments to drive design, equipment and supply chain decisions.
Drive suppliers to develop reliable, high-throughput, mass production-capable equipment that delivers performance that meets pre-defined specifications.
Develop manufacturing solutions in line with factory targets and product reliability requirements.
Analyze results of process development experiments and provide technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.
Drive failure analysis and lead implementation of corrective actions.
Lead the roll-out of equipment, material, and process across the Apple display supply chain through product ramp.
Identify opportunities for optimization of equipment efficiency, quality metrics and lean manufacturing
Present timely, concise reports advising the readiness of manufacturing equipment & processes to diverse set of program partners.

Education & Experience

BS (MS preferred) in mechanical, materials or chemical engineering
