Management of hourly represented and salaried employees performing Service Unit (SU) and Vertical Missile Packaging Building (VMPB) processing operations in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. Position is located at the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) on Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) - Bangor in Silverdale, WA. The Manufacturing Manager will supervise and provide technical direction to other leaders, salaried production and production support personnel, and hourly ordnance workers during work on the TRIDENT II (D5) missile systems and associated components.

The Manufacturing Manager furnishes management systems to achieve effective Reentry Body Assembly (RBA) operations required by Special Weapons Ordnance Publications (SWOP) and other DOD/Navy nuclear weapons requirements. Manage and perform SU/VMPB operations control functions including inventory, schedule and material control to meet the TRIDENT II mission requirements at SWFPAC

Responsibilities of the position include safety, security, mission success, material control, meeting financial requirements, schedule compliance, meeting technical objectives, staffing and training to support multiple shifts, investigating and initiating corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality, ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and customer requirements, leadership and team building, and developing and maintaining customer interfaces. The incumbent will ensure work schedules are accurate and realistic with product delivery dates that are achievable. The position requires frequent communications with various internal and external Lockheed Martin counterparts, associate contractors and US Navy customer representatives. The position requires flexibility to support work scheduled over odd or extended work shifts.

Candidate must have a current Top Secret Security clearance, be able to obtain and maintain membership in the Navy's Personnel Reliability and Radiological Controls Programs (PRP and NWRCP), and possess leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives outlined below

Basic Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with at least four years of documented leadership experience or, in the absence of a degree at least five years of documented leadership directly related to Reentry Systems processing/handling. All leadership experience must be within the last 10 years
*Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required. Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
* Ability to qualify for and maintain participation in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP)
*Ability to qualify for and maintain participation in the Radiological Controls Programs (NWRCP)
*At least five years' experience with a Ballistic Missile Program
*Demonstrated change management skills

Desired skills
*Active Secret clearance adjudicated in the last 5 years
*Experience in D5 Reentry Body processing highly desired
*Experience in D5 Service Unit operations highly desired
*Experience in D5 Vertical Missile Packaging Building highly desired
*Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the following requirements: Custody, Accountability, Control of Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Material (SWOP 100-4), and reentry production techniques, Processing Operations, and Reentry Body Assembly Operations planning requirements and techniques
*Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
*Proficiency in computer skills, specifically Microsoft office tools
*Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other organizations, associate contractors and our U.S. Navy customer
*Demonstrated ability to work independently in a Navy (military/civilian) environment
*Strong closure skills
*Performance as a team player

*Radiological or X-Ray training/experience
*Experience at a FBM field site
*Experience leading salaried and represented hourly workforce personnel
*Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and can handle multiple projects at once

*Familiarity with FBM/Missile Documentation
