Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions

May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience in CAD using both 2D and 3D CAD to create, design, and manipulate solid models, assemblies, layouts, and detail drawings

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Desired skills
Ability to travel 5-10% of the year to domestic and international locations

Knowledge of quality and certification requirements in regulated manufacturing industries (e.g., AS 9100, FAA, ISO/TS16949, and ISO 9001)

Track record of generating creative manufacturing solutions

Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Must have excellent communication, planning, negotiation and organizational skills and the ability to independently manage a heavy workload

Emphasis on excellent written communication skills, especially in the area of work instruction development

Effective interpersonal communications, proven ability to lead, critical thinking, capable of acting strategically while achieving results

Aware of environmental and physical hazards associated with various manufacturing technologies, ensuring appropriate PPE devices are accessible and utilized at all times to safeguard themselves, others, and the environment
