Job Summary:

This is a third shift position which includes a 12% added pay differential.

Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA. Primary responsibilities will be to support the operation of (7) fully automated Surface Mount Technology assembly lines building CCAs for multiple product lines. Additional responsibilities include process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support. Individual will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, SPC implementation, and process data analysis.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques
  • Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
  • Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation
  • Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
  • Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence
  • Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Manufacturing process development and support
  • Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
  • Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.
Qualification You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Applied Physics.
  • 0-2 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience
  • Knowledge and ability to apply six sigma principles and techniques
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
  • Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3, MIL-PRF-38534, and MIL-STD-883
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Specialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development)
  • Experience supporting the following equipment:
  • SMT Screen Printers and Solder Paste Inspection Machines
  • SMT Adhesive Placement Machines
  • SMT Component Placement Machines
  • Automated Optical inspection Machines
  • Reflow Ovens
  • X-Ray Inspection Equipment
  • Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and techniques
  • Experience in DFMA principles
  • Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
  • Detail oriented with strong coordination skills
  • Ability to contribute in a team settings as well as individually
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
