Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking a highly motivated Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the RMD Planning & Scheduling Department as a Manager II Technical Planner. You will work and collaborate with various functions, including the Program Management Office, Finance, Engineering and Contracts to ensure that the programs are performing according to our RMD parameters. You will also manage a team of planners supporting those programs. This position will be located in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Development, maintenance and analysis of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project as well as the program Master Phasing Schedule (top level schedule)
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, and cost estimating tasks; and supporting Risk and Opportunity development mitigation
  • Supporting Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS) deployment and tailoring.
  • Support Earned Value reporting from the IMS, ensuring Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance of planning-related artifacts, IMS CDRL deliveries to the customer and internal IMS reporting to the PMO.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems or other engineering discipline or STEM related major.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling and/or experience in Program or Earned Value Management.
  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Project and/or other Scheduling tools, such as Oracle Primavera.
  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
  • Prior work experience leading and managing a team of planning/scheduling professionals.
  • Prior work experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar business processes for tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance.
  • Prior work experience with government and/or DoD and FMS contracts and programs.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Direct experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked
  • Direct experience with DCMA and JSA audit
  • Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role
  • Experience performing Critical Path analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs)
  • Familiarity with any of the following: SAP database reporting (specifically the Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) tool), Material Resource Planning (MRP) tools used in factory production and operations settings.
  • Experience assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks.
  • Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Six Sigma qualifications and/or training and experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Primavera project management tools.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
