Job Description: The Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Mission Area of Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) has a sensational opportunity for a Finance Manager for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program expected to be awarded in late 2020. The NGI program is a cutting-edge Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program that will form the core of future homeland missile defense. The initial phase of the NGI program will be awarded at approximately $1.3B, which is a competitive down-select phase with an expected duration of over 4 years.
The candidate will partner with the PM, IPT Leads, Business Development, and all program functions to provide the team with insight and solutions to drive the business and program financial execution and ultimately make the program successful throughout the down-select phase. The Business Manager will report to the IMDS Finance Manager, and will be responsible for developing and managing a diverse and strong team of Program Finance Analysts in support of the program. Working location of the position can either be based out of Tucson, AZ or Huntsville, AL due to large program presence expected to be in both locations. Travel between locations will be needed on at least on a quarterly basis.
Additionally, the successful candidate for this role should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program control, strong problem solving skills and have good communication skills. This manager should be comfortable presenting complex financial topics, including business case investment analysis, to senior-level leaders. Candidate will not only need to be comfortable in managing the program financials, but also managing the IRAD, capital and other investments that complement, and run adjacent to, the external program.
Required Skills:
Leverage experience in program control finance, accounting and FP&A to meet all internal and external reporting requirements
Strong program experience, specifically in program EAC development in conjunction with identifying issues early and developing corrective action plans, managing risks, opportunities and implementation plans.
External financial reporting and analysis to support program execution, and providing continual customer and partner-contractor interaction and support on in all financial aspects of the program.
Ensure EVMS reporting within DFARS requirements in the monthly IPMR CDRL, and performing trend analysis for EVMS metrics include staffing/labor analysis and tracking.
Lead investment analysis of NBI (IRAD, B&P and Selling) and Capital to optimize and report on investment performance.
Partnering closely and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with the NGI Program Director and members of the NGI program Leadership Team.
