Job Description:

The Raytheon Technologies Missile & Defense (RMD), Quality and Mission Assurance Organization prevents defects, improves processes and protects the Raytheon Technologies Brand through the implementation of a efficient Quality Management System.

We are seeking a Quality Program Lead (QPL) for PATRIOT Software and Engineering Services. The QPL will ensure that customer expectations and end-user objectives are satisfied, while leading a team of Mission Assurance and Quality professionals to ensure the successful execution of RMD processes and procedures.

Working as a trusted partner with the Program Leadership and Software Development Teams, the QPL will engage on both a tactical and strategic level, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers. The QPL will be the primary Quality interface with the program and supporting functions, responsible for guidance, leadership and support on all matters pertaining to Mission Assurance and Quality. Accountabilities will include satisfactory resourcing, technical, quality and financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality of delivered products and services to the Customer, management of Quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, leadership in resolution of high-visibility program issues and successful management of Customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.

NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Tasks include, but may not be limited to the following:
  • Serve as a key member of the program leadership team, ensuring successful program performance by ensuring conforming products and services through effective collaboration, compliance to processes and procedures
  • Build and maintain beneficial relationships with Program Office, Software Product and functional peers.
  • Lead integration and execution of Quality professionals across disciplines
  • Drive critical issues to closure on a daily basis.
  • Actively participate in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Risk and Opportunity (R&O) management

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Quality, Engineering OR related discipline
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
  • Experience in Software Development/Testing.
  • Experience with Quality systems, ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or quality sciences / statistical analysis processes and tools
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships
  • Experienced in budget analysis and manpower planning
  • Experienced in writing/approving/executing Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Ability to lead in a team-based environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Bias for Action, Doing, Speed, Results, Execution
  • Metrics driven and success oriented
Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM field including Computer Science.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US DOD secret clearance
