The Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), Mission Assurance (MA) organization assures that we deliver compliant products to the customer with exceptional performance and will work reliably throughout the product life cycle.

Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices, which align across RMD.


We are seeking a Strategic Analytics Manager to lead the Supplier Quality Data team and drive transformation of current Supplier Quality practices, leveraging artificial intelligence and other technologies to improve the organizations efficiency, effectiveness, and velocity.

The Manager will ensure that internal customer, stakeholder, and end-user expectations are satisfied. The Manager will work with Supplier Quality leadership to formulate strategies and standardized metrics for guiding the organization and will support continuous improvement goals throughout the organization.

The Manager will lead the team to engage on both a tactical and strategic level, focusing on data integration and architecture of quality analytic tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality and timeliness of published metrics/work products and services to internal customers.

The Manager will demonstrate the use of effective communications and team facilitation in order to understand current business processes, lead the team to improve and streamline methods, and institutionalize streamlined, high velocity business processes through the use of data and workflow tools available and envisioned.


The Manager will lead the team in the use of data systems, analytical tools and methods to:
  • build and maintain a quality analytic tool
  • develop data queries
  • perform data integration
  • develop new metrics and analytic techniques
  • perform analytical visualization
  • complete specialized functions such as data preparation, analyses and reporting
  • develop techniques and methods to support systems and process improvements, such as developing Artificial Intelligence Bots to improve efficiency throughout the organization

A successful candidate has a self-driven, innovative, results-focused attitude with strong understanding of Raytheon quality processes, as well as a strong systems and data analytics skillset.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Supplier Quality Metrics team, ensuring successful performance by ensuring conforming products and services through effective collaboration, compliance to processes and procedures
  • Redefine and transform current Supplier Quality practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead data integration and architecture of quality analytics tools and analytics processes to enable advance statistical processes, predictive analytics, and deep dive data models.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure alignment and data system requirements are met.
  • Ensure data is available for effective root cause analysis and corrective action and facilitate data mining to support the needs of the organization.
  • Provide value through data for end-users and other stakeholders.
  • Exercise predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and leading actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.
  • Define and create processes, collect, analyze and maintain SQA metrics.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • This position can be performed remotely (80%) with responsibilities onsite (20%) from multiple locations - (Tucson, Dallas, Andover, Tewksbury)

Required Skills:
  • Minimum Ten (10) years relevant experience Quality and/or in Data Analytics / Data Sciences / Data Architecture.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, peers, subordinates, to present data and manage process change.
  • Proficient in the use of Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping, and process monitoring involving the use of statistical process controls
  • Expertise in Business Intelligence and Data Analysis tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Alteryx, Lumira, Power BI, WebI, or similar tools) and data analysis languages (Python, R, SQL, or similar tools)
  • Expertise in utilizing collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA, or similar tools
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets and relational databases. (EX: PRISM or a similar ERP system), Business Warehouse, data lakes, data warehouses, etc., Amazon Cloud/Web Services
  • Required Education (including Major): Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional process improvement teams
  • Experience in development/usage of Quality metrics and the identification/institution of perceptive verifications.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain business practices, systems and tools
  • Ability to act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of complex data systems and analytics
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with internal customers, and in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and internal customers
  • Strong customer and user focus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Experience deploying Business Objects & Tableau solutions to multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using, developing, and supporting Data Warehouse / Data Vault systems
  • Established data/process expertise in Quality functional area
  • Experience producing data visualizations for a variety of different audiences.
  • Six Sigma Certification or internally Specialist qualified, or demonstrated Specialist-level skill.
  • Working knowledge of Raytheon RCAS or a proven close-loop corrective action system.
  • Technology areas: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Java, JMS, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL databases Microservices Architecture, Visual Studio, Python, C/C++, JIRA, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications
  • Masters Degree in a similar discipline preferred

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
