Job Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Naval Powers Mission Area as the Naval Radar Sustainment and AEGIS Weapons System & Illuminators Business Manager. As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to four finance professionals supporting multiple Program Managers. You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of fixed and cost type contracts with annual revenue over $150M.

This successful candidate will use proactive leadership skills and have significant interaction with Program Directors, Program Managers, and customer representatives from finance and contracts teams to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operating and financial objectives. The Business Manager is a strategic business partner to various Cross Functional Teams and works in collaboration on the successful execution of proposals, Gate reviews, contract negotiations, EVMS reporting, and EACs. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone that can think strategically, multitask on a regular basis, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Ability to provide top level program planning and control guidance as well as the ability to summarize, package, and present information to all levels of management
  • Act as a strategic business partner to all cross functional teams and collaborate on the successful execution of quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC) for both major and small production programs
  • Support the development and submittal of the monthly financial forecast, Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP)
  • Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, maintenance and reporting utilizing standard company tools and processes
  • Support the start-up of a new product line (award contingent) along with the opportunity to support the proposal and gate review process for international competitive pursuits

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 8 years of related experience
  • Previous supervisory and employee development experience

  • Experience with EVMS, Program Controls (Cost/Schedule) and EAC Process
