We have an opening for a Maintenance Coordinator. You will provide advanced technical and administrative oversight and coordination of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and replacement projects. You will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and directing material, equipment, and manpower for work orders and projects supporting repair, replacement, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure systems. This position is in the Facilities Management & Systems Planning Division (FMSPD) of the Deployed Facilities & Infrastructure Department and may require working at Site 300 in Tracy, California.

Essential Duties
-Provide advanced technical and administrative oversight to plan and lead work request meetings and job walks with customers, engineers, facility managers, team managers, SMEs, ES&H professionals, technical supervisors and craft personnel.
-Develop work packages to include work scope, task breakdowns or maintenance work instructions, identify material and equipment required to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, or new installations on a variety of facility systems and components using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Coordinate the commissioning process for new equipment installations.
-Analyze moderately complex data, identify issues and plan projects to solve problems and implement solutions.
-Provide probability of failure estimates to Condition Assessment Survey team by evaluating condition of equipment.
-Serve as the Subcontract Technical Representative for various maintenance, construction, and repair subcontracts. Act as Responsible Individual (RI) for subcontracted work, provide Procurement team with bids from multiple qualified subcontractors, lead safety meetings/pre-start briefs, mitigate safety concerns, oversee subcontractors work to ensure safety, quality, and job completion. Responsible for ensuring work being performed by outside subcontractors meets the requirements of the issued scope of work of the subcontract.
-Plan and develop work schedules for work activities requiring craft sequencing, facility and/or utility outages. Coordinate tasks with other work coordinators, supporting shops, supervisors, project managers, facility managers, and safety personnel.
-Investigate incomplete work requests and evaluate related work requests for possible overlaps or efficient groupings. Evaluate work requests for applicability of the Davis-Bacon Act.
-Interpret and define the technical criteria of maintenance activities including, developing parts and material lists and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of materials procurement to expedite job start.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Bachelors degree in an engineering technology, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience with significant experience in construction, or maintenance and operations of facility systems.
-Advanced technical skills and knowledge in at least one craft such as plumbing, electrical distribution, HVAC, carpentry, welding/pipe-fitting, etc.
-Advanced knowledge of types of equipment, materials, and methods used for repair and maintenance of conventional facility systems including scheduling, job estimating, and planning of tasks that could affect mission activities.
-Advanced knowledge of the application of ES&H policies and procedures, regulatory requirements for equipment maintenance, and security regulations. Advanced knowledge of hazards often associated with maintenance job tasks and work areas.
-Experience interpreting complex technical performance requirements.
-Experience effectively planning and leading meetings, including defining and enforcing objectives.
-Experience utilizing computers and associated software to manage and track job orders, schedule facility/equipment maintenance activities and generate reports.
-Advanced customer service and interpersonal skills using tact and diplomacy including the ability to interact effectively with all levels. Significant experience effectively managing multiple activities simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications
-Experience directing the activities of others.
-Experience managing work involving subcontractors.
-Experience in predictive or preventive maintenance.

Pre-Employment Drug Test: External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance: This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.

If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted.

Note: This is a Career Indefinite position. Lab employees and external candidates may be considered for this position. Employees assigned to work at Site 300 may be exposed to the organism that causes San Joaquin Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis).
