Job Description

Join Intel and build a better tomorrow. Intel is in the midst of an exciting transformation, with a vision to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth. So join us and help us create the next generation of technologies that will shape the future for decades to come.

Logic Technology Development (LTD) is creating a new Functional Area Manufacturing Engineering (FAME) group and is looking for Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers.

In addition to its technology development charter, LTD has become one of Intel's largest production manufacturing sites. Furthermore, for each technology, LTD is the first site to ramp the new technology at high volume, making it critical to characterize module performance relative to MOR (Model of Record) and execute improvement roadmaps that maximize output and velocity and are transferable to other manufacturing sites.

Intel is counting on LTD to deliver predictable technology development and high-volume manufacturing output, and this new FAME group will be an essential enabler of that.

The Functional Area Manufacturing Engineer (FAME) will be responsible for continuously characterizing fab equipment performance and working with the LTD Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop and execute improvement roadmaps that ensure LTD's output and cycle time goals are met.

The FAME's technical job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Complete regular validations of actual equipment capacity performance for all MOR metrics, including availability, run rate, test wafers, rework, sampling, etc.

  • Work with the module owners to develop improvement roadmaps to achieve MOR performance and manage the project expected completion dates/status.

  • Forecast each module's current and projected capacity over time

  • Publish weekly capacity limiters reports for all technologies.

  • Work with the module owners and LTD Functional Area Industrial Engineers to propose MOR changes and/or tool changes based on actual performance to optimize cost and achieve the fab output requirements.

  • Complete LTD fab module capacity what-if analyses for new module projects, process flow changes, upside requests, cross-site processing requests, factory loading changes, product mix changes, etc.

An ideal candidate must be willing to exhibit the below behavioral traits:

  • Detail orientation and ability to gather, analyze and interpret data to drive results.

  • Ability to multi-task and handle deadline pressure.

  • Effectively communicate, collaborate and align with team members and customers.

What we offer:

  • We give you opportunities to transform technology and create a better future, by delivering products that touch the lives of every person on earth.

  • As a global leader in innovation and new technology, we foster a collaborative, supportive, and exciting environment where the brightest minds in the world come together to achieve exceptional results.

  • We offer a competitive salary and financial benefits such as bonuses, life and disability insurance, opportunities to buy Intel stock at a discounted rate, and Intel stock awards (eligibility at the discretion of Intel Corporation).

  • We provide benefits that promote a healthy, enjoyable life: excellent medical plans, wellness programs, and amenities, time off, recreational activities, discounts on various products and services, and much more creative perks that make Intel a Great Place to Work!

We're constantly working on making a more connected and intelligent future, and we need your help. Change tomorrow. Start today.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
