Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.

Job Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is actively seeking a Logistics Specialist who will be an important member of a customer and data-driven team. In this role, youll use your ability to work in a data-driven environment to develop relational databases that will be used to solve complex logistical problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation.

Your general responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and maintain Logistics Management Information databases
  • Interpret engineering for use in the development of Logistics Product Databases (LPD) to create outputs including but not limited to: Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC), Level of Repair Analyses (LORA), MSG-3 (Maintenance Steering Group) or RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), Failure Mode Effect & Critical Analysis (FMECA), Provisioning/Supply Support, Task/Maintenance Plan Analysis, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), Paper-based manuals, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPB), Support Equipment, PHS&T, and Repair Parts and Special Tool List (RPSTLs), and Industry MIL-STD documents and manuals.
  • This position focuses on the design of inherent supportability into the analysis and the associated design, analysis and optimization of the customers' military support system.
  • Preparing provisioning documentation aligned with customer provided standards
  • Participating in customer reviews, validations and/or verifications
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Developing superior logistics databases in accordance with MIL-STD-1388-2b or GEIA-0007, customer provided instructions and corporate policies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain logistics databases systems using software such as MS Access, PowerLOG-J, SLICwave, EAGLE.
  • Assisting in building an acquisition Logistics Product Database (LPD), using existing engineering drawings for an Army customer.
  • Assisting in challenging Logistics Supportability Planning and Procedures for an Army customer
  • Managing multiple deadlines and priorities within specified timeframes.
This role will require approximately 10% travel.

This position can be a Grade G07 or Grade G08 based on the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

An advanced degree can be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: Bachelors Degree OR An additional 2 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college.
Employment Experience:
  • 2+ years experience working with relational databases such as Access, Oracle, PowerLOG-J or SLICwave databases
  • Logistics experience in a military or civilian environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • 2+ years experience working with engineering drawings, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
  • Experience with or knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2b, GEIA-0007, or S3000L and associated documentation outputs
  • Experience with or knowledge of MIL-STD-40051 or S1000D and associated documentation outputs
  • Experience using MS Access, PowerLOG-J, SLICwave, EAGLE, or similar logistics relational databases
  • Experience creating and updating Technical Manuals using Arbortext Editor Software
  • Core Depot Analysis experience
  • Packaging requirements experience
  • Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL) experience
  • Strong commitment to quality

  • Ability to work in a high-functioning team setting and successfully navigate a fast-paced, challenging environment
