As a Videos Localization Producer, you will lead localization projects catering to the Apple Videos Ecosystem. This spans across platforms including iOS, tvOS, MacOS, Web and even 3rd party devices, which all highlight the diverse array of Apple TV+ and iTunes Store content within the Apple TV app. You will collaborate with vendor resources locally and internationally, work independently with engineers, EPM's and producers, using your technical expertise to perform in-context QA of UI elements. The role is in our Cupertino headquarters.

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in a localization QA and Project management
  • Familiar with Python, Swift, Xcode or other programming language
  • Exceptional cross-functional, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture and accept a level of ambiguity
  • Experience in Localization, International editorial and/or marketing
  • Ability to handle weekly, sometimes daily deadlines, and work effectively with various teams across multiple time zones and cross-functional teams
  • Technical understanding of the localization process and are familiar with tools, scripts, and framework
  • Familiar with different video platform ecosystems and have a background working with movies, TV shows, video content and/or video content providers
  • Worked with Content Management Systems and you are eager to learn how to use new tools
  • Broad and up-to-date knowledge of worldwide cultural norms, current events and pop culture
  • Passion for movies and TV shows, including streaming, downloading and viewing
  • Understanding of software development cycles
  • Results-oriented, upbeat, positive and maintain these traits through tight deadlines and fast-paced environments
  • Focused with a strong passion to learn, lead and succeed
  • Proficient in or have a working knowledge of another language besides English

Description

The TV app, iTunes Movies and TV shows make it simple and fun for users around the world to discover, purchase, download and enjoy video content. Whether it's your favorite new TV series or a blockbuster movie with bonus features like iTunes Extras, our localization team interacts with international business, editorial, marketing, design, programming, tools and engineering teams to provide the highest quality localized experience for our users across all of our platforms.

We are looking for a driven, articulate and inventive individual with a real passion for the ever growing world that is watchable video content. This role is deeply involved in the UI experience of content within the TV app, iTunes Movies and TV shows. Ideally, you have technical background, are enthusiastic, flexible, able to juggle multiple deliverables at a time, and can maneuver through ambiguity. Collaboration is key to success in the Videos team when working with multiple partners under strict production timelines.

Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Cross-functional coordination with key partners to ensure the tools and process needs of the documentation engineering team are communicated
- Identifying gaps or inefficiencies in tools and processes within and between teams, as well as drive improvements
- Bug tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Supervising prioritization, creation, and maintenance of QA plans
- Presenting risks and priorities in order to deliver high quality localized documentation on time
- Presenting project status to partners
- Identifying and managing schedule risks

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent with experience in translation/localization, project management and video content
