• Work collaboratively and effectively to promote teamwork, diversity, equality and inclusiveness.
• Work in partnership with colleagues within the CNS community and across the campus to support the Dean’s strategic priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and goals of the College of Natural Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

• Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of research laboratory or commercial experience with low-temperature cryogenics.
• Ability to work at high altitude sites. 
• Working knowledge of thermodynamics, electronics, and optics.
• Working knowledge of solid-state physics and material properties.
• Working knowledge and proficiency in computer aided design.
• Experience with data collection, validation, and analysis in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with debugging of low voltage and 120V electronics.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices including in the use of solvents and other wet chemicals.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Ability to work at high altitudes.
• Climbing, lifting, bending, twisting, standing, balancing, carrying, pushing/pulling.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
• Frequent travel to the high-altitude site in Mexico (every 4 - 6 weeks).
