Job Summary:
The selected intern will be integrated with, and work as part of, the business general counsel and international legal groups as they support RMDs business and programs in the US and nearly seventy other countries. The successful candidate will be someone with exceptional abilities to think and analyze complex fact and legal situations, communicate responses and recommendations through verbal and written work product, and work directly with RMD OGC attorneys. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The Summer Legal Intern will research and advise on real legal challenges posed by RMDs work in around the world and will be exposed to a wide-range of legal practice areas, including but not limited to intellectual property, employment, international law and transactions, litigation, compliance, global trade, and corporate law.

This position is for an intern that is pursuing a law degree based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
  • Administrative Intern- must be in 1st or 2nd year of law school

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Must be at least a first of second year law student by the start of summer 2022
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Attending an ABA accredited law school
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Excellent analytical ability and legal drafting skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams and divisions.
  • A demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to research and learn new concepts and legal issues quickly to facilitate problem solving.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Facility in a language other than English, including German, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Romanian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or Hungarian.
Location Information:
This position will be 100% telecommute or hybrid if candidate lives near a Raytheon facility.

Clearance Information:
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
