As a part of our Legal group, you'll provide legal support to Apple's Advertising Platforms business, advising teams across the globe on novel issues in the dynamic ad tech industry.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years legal experience with marketing and advertising laws and regulations.
  • Subject matter expertise in marketing law (B2B and B2C), advertising law, consumer protection, online content regulations, and IP legal issues relating to hosting third party content (trademark, copyright).
  • Experience advising on international (non-U.S.) laws and regulations relating to marketing, digital advertising, and online content distribution or commerce is a strong plus.
  • Experience in-house and/or advising ad tech industry clients at a leading law firm is ideal.
  • Ability to triage and resolve complex issues working directly and collaboratively with business clients.
  • Comfort handling multiple projects under tight and competing timelines.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a team-first approach.

Description

In this role, you'll be a core part of Apple's Legal Marketing and Advertising team supporting Apple's Advertising Platforms business. Your work will focus on the laws and regulations of marketing and advertising. So experience advising on laws and regulations relating to marketing (e.g., e-mail marketing rules), advertising transparency and disclosures, privacy, online platform liabilities and immunities, and content IP rights and licensing is a must.

Although the role is U.S.-based and primarily focused on U.S. legal analysis, you'll also be scanning and analyzing the relevant legal landscape around the globe. Experience with non-U.S. laws, especially in marketing and advertising, or managing international legal analysis work is a plus.

In this role you'll have an opportunity to grow and expand your areas of responsibilities and skills. You'll be embedded and working with a wide variety of business teams, from product to policy, privacy, marketing, engineering, sales, finance, and beyond. So a genuine interest in taking on legal work in diverse areas - e.g., drafting contracts, analyzing emerging regulations, abating disputes, assessing products and features for legal risk, advising on privacy strategy, etc. - is key.

The role may be a good fit for a lawyer with a regulatory, commercial, or litigation background. In-house experience is a plus, but not strictly required.

Location: Cupertino, CA (preferred) or Austin, TX.

Education & Experience

JD or equivalent, excellent academic credentials, and admission to at least one US state bar required.
