The Functional Analyst/Program Manager is within the Customer Systems Learning & Communications IS&T team that will focus on functional analysis, technical project/program/product management needs across systems that support AppleCare, Partners, and Corporate business groups.

Our secure, scalable, and accessible enterprise systems play a key role in providing learning management and communications solutions to large global audiences both within and outside of Apple.

We work closely with business teams to understand challenges, evaluate opportunities to improve processes and capabilities, use our creative and analytical skills to provide solutions to solve sophisticated business problems, while collaborating with the technical IS&T team.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business analysis and technical project/program management experience working with large scale enterprise solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (including agile and traditional waterfall), and project management tools.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to explain sophisticated business and technical issues and requirements to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to take care of ambiguity, prioritize and handle multiple activities, and adapt to changing business requirements and project timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills, as well as interpersonal and partner management skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels across the organization, distill information appropriately, and succinctly communicate ideas.
  • Ability to work well in a cross functional, geographically and time-zone distributed team environment comprising of employees and contractors, with the ability to influence people and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a keen sense of curiosity and be confident in asking questions and challenging the status quo - with a desire to continually learn and effect change.
  • Have a sense of purpose and vision to create multi-year product roadmaps and program manage it.

Description

Work with the business to understand their requirements and processes, identify areas of improvement, build detailed documentation, and work within the IS&T technical team to determine how automated technical solutions may better meet business needs.

Have strong, persistent investigative skills in order to do research and propose solutions to sophisticated business and production issues, often involving multiple systems. Having an operational approach will be key to ensuring systems are crafted and implemented for scale and extensibility.

Monitor and report on important project management features including scope, resources, schedules, and risks throughout the program/product lifecycle

Provide analytical support to the business, development and QA teams to ensure quality across our systems and processes.

Conduct effective meetings, document progress and track actions.

Work closely with Business and Technical teams to ensure InfoSec and Accessibility compliance.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
