Job Summary:
The QMA Quality Engineering Center Strategic Quality Transformation team is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our team.
The candidate will utilize a systems-based approach to detect issues, identify root cause(s), define key contributors, and guide multiple cross-functional stakeholders as they implement systemic corrective actions to reduce or eliminate defects, process waste, and customer escapes.

The candidate will be required to analyze and assimilate multiple sources of data such as escape/defect data, Quality Management System (QMS) audit findings, corrective actions, customer complaints, and supplier quality data to identify systemic issues. The candidate will also be responsible for maturation of preventive action programs and will guide stakeholders in activities such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), error-proofing, process mapping, identification of Key Process Indicators/Characteristics (KPI/KPC) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

This position requires strong interpersonal skills and risk analysis expertise that will be used to present critical organizational issues to leadership and influence across functional groups. The selected candidate will drive cross-functional improvements using CORE and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Independent analysis of multiple sources of data to identify negative trends, systemic issues, and areas of risk
  • Request, facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in RCCA investigations and perform verification and validation of any changes resulting from the corrective action
  • Ensuring that the efficacy of corrective actions is demonstrated through objective evidence
  • Balancing multiple systemic, high visibility projects concurrently
  • Presenting to cross-functional leadership on the progress of projects
  • Applying CORE and Lean principles to cross-functional process improvements
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related discipline
  • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification
  • Mastery of Quality principles (PFMEA/DFMEA, Root Cause Corrective Action, Control Plans, Statistical Process Controls, APQP/PPAP, Shanin Red X)
  • Experience with implementation and interpretation of industry quality standards (AS9100, AS9103, AS9145)
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to decisions with minimal supervision, applying project management principles as needed
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and verbal/written communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship
