LEAD DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Provide installations, upgrades, security patches, migrations, configuration, backups, replication, performance monitoring, security configuration, encryption, disaster recovery, and implementation of new SQL, SSRS/PowerBI, SSAS, SSIS, and other servers. Serve as an expert resource to solve complex database-related questions and problems, faults that occur for SQL Server database backup/restore, data encryption, replication, database key management, database server architecture, and Relational Database Management Systems. Recommend and implement system and infrastructure improvements to ensure database servers are accessible, accurate, secure, and high-performance. Design and implement automated systems using languages and/or scripts. Provide SQL Server database systems capacity and resource management. Support Development, Test, and Production environments for Database Lifecycle Management and Database security management. Develop, tune, and maintain T-SQL stored procedures and queries. Use ETL design, development and maintenance in SSIS. Conduct business analysis with customers to understand their data and business needs. Work with IT technical staff to develop architectures and systems. Plan, organize, coordinate, and provide oversight of work performed to a team of SQL Server database administrators. Provide mentoring, training, and support to the team.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as an SQL DBA Consultant, Sr. Database Administrator, Database Administrator, Systems Engineer, or related. Experience must include SQL database administration experience, including back-up and restoring, replications, patching and managing security. Experience with SQL language designing table structures, writing stored procedures and queries used in both OLTP and reporting environments. Use of ETL tools such as SSIS. Designing and implementing SSRS or similar reporting toolsets. Experience analyzing, designing, programming, and maintaining software applications. Experience leading or supervising other positions.
