



















Description
We are currently seeking an energetic and results driven Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at our Miamisburg, Ohio site. The Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers responsible for conceptual and detail design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile programs.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and mentor the Electrical Engineering staff with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, customer satisfaction, and site performance;
- Generate and support hiring requirements and the recruitment process;
- Create and conduct performance reviews based on performance and input received from cross-functional feedback;
- Recommend annual merit increases;
- Assist in the formation of annual budgetary plans, strategic goal setting and other annual planning;
- Participate in customer quotation and project proposal activities;
- Provide regular status reports for ongoing programs and support efforts within the group;
- Work with others to support proposals, customer interactions and design reviews;
- Monitor projects for compliance with schedule and budget;
- Work with other department and engineering teams to forecast realistic project schedules and costs;
- Ensure that product developments meet customer quality and performance requirements;
- Adherence to all corporate policies and procedures;
- Develop and lead IR&D projects;
- Maintain site and corporate information on engineering projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline;
- Experience in systems engineering or related field;
- Experience managing and mentoring engineers;
- Experience in design of analog devices is highly desirable;
- Leadership skills including excellent supervisory, communication (both verbal and written), organizational and reasoning skills;
- Prior experience in program management of large-scale projects involving multiple engineering disciplines and cross functional involvement with finance, sales, operations, and quality is desirable;
- Experience with the formal qualification of systems to industry standards in defense safety systems;
- Ability to effectively interface with customers, group engineers, and other departments;
- Ability to multitask managing multiple projects at the same time;
- Able to quickly gain the confidence and cooperation of others;
- Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance;
- Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED;
- This position requires the use of information that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR);
