As a Lab Strategic Industrial Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Drive Mid-Long Range Plan (6-18 months) and Strategic initiative plan (18+ months) for Lab Demand response across Intel's Global Lab environment (3M sqft).
  • Execute at both tactical and strategic levels in support of organizational objectives, in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Provide leadership, coaching as well as hands-on guidance on capacity process development and improvement, performance, and productivity issues for team's sustainable high performance.
  • Establish systems to operate with the best control and cost-efficiency.
  • Apply LEAN methodology and cultural attributes to eliminate waste from systems, providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Understand Intel product roadmaps and BU needs to launch and support those products.
  • Identify synergies of lab demand to fulfill demand across BU/products.
  • Partner with stakeholders and finance to create Return Of Investments (ROI) packages.
  • Run effective meetings and projects using project/program management skills.
  • Develop capacity requirements for new common capacity planning tools.
  • Understand the lab equipment specifications to drive facility sizing requirements for space, power, and cooling.
  • Understand the specific business unit needs, adapt, and respond quickly to the changes and requirements, while having sensitivity to product change and competitive roadmaps.
  • Build trusted partner relationships with peers across their network, business units, product development teams, sites and relevant business partners.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field with 4+ years of experience.

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years of experience.

  • Experience referred above will be related to:
    • Planning Positions, leading teams that accomplish operational and technical objectives through continuous improvement.
    • Owning and managing Long-range and tactical Plan processes.
    • Leading/building complex, cross-organization teams.
    • Construction process.
    • LEAN, Operational Excellence, capacity modeling, continuous improvement, and problem-solving techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Macros, algorithms, and/or mathematical functions; Pivot and Dynamic tables programming and Power BI).
  • Statistical and Metric Model knowledge (hands-on statistical application such as repeatability, reproducibility and matching, Gage RnR and perform statistical applications for validation and leverage; JMP expertise).
  • 4+ years of experience in simulating capacity and requirements based on metric and capacity models against a variety of different industries and applications.
  • 4+ years of experience to define requirements for optimization Software (IBM ILOG Studio for example).
  • Data Center management, Lab Management, Factory Capacity management or Industrial room management.
