Job Description

The Advanced Concepts Laboratory – IT Division is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated co-op student for Fall 2018. Co-ops will start out running the IT helpdesk. This will involve many aspects of IT including Active Directory, LDAP, Networking, Printer management and much more. Co-ops will start to take on projects and research opportunities to find new technologies and implement them as they move along in their co-oping terms. Co-ops will learn how to work with Windows, OSX, and Linux systems in an enterprise environment. Co-ops will help maintain a Datacenter and learn how to monitor infrastructure using applications like SCCM, JAMF, and Lansweeper. Co-ops will be expected to research and find alternative ways to fix issues related to IT tasks. Other duties may arise as required.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology 
  • Must be registered for co-op credit with your university
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly motivated to grow IT experience
  • Basic level knowledge of computer hardware and various operating systems
  • Must be able to adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to non-technically

Hours per Week

40 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
